Halloween

Leah wouldn't give me a smile until the headband was off.

One of the words Drew says is "goo", so we made goo one day.

Drew is 2 months old now! On the 21st Drew rolled over front to back. And this past Wednesday he put his hands together. I can't believe how big he is getting. We've been having fun making up words Drew is saying when he coos. He says "gill" and "quack" the most. Not to jinx it, but he is also sleeping 11 hours straight most nights. I've tried to get a picture of him smiling but haven't been able to catch one yet.

Leah is just being a three year old. She is excited about Halloween and wants to be Princess Leia. Her eyes lit up when I explained trick or treating to her (I wasn't sure if she would remember from last year). Leah has been getting up a lot at night so we've been working on that but other than that everything is great.

Family photo shoot

These pictures were taken by John Marshall Photography when Drew was 6 days old and Leah was almost 3. He is the same photographer who took Leah's one year pictures for us.

Leah's birthday party

She went a little overboard with the lip gloss after the party.

We had Leah's party at a park near our house, I don't have a lot of pictures because it was short, sweet and to the point. Leah loved the attention. It was really windy, so we had a little trouble with the candles but she didn't seem to mind.

Everyone here is doing well. I resigned from my job this week. My employer isn't able or willing to offer part-time and that is something I am ready to find, even if it takes a while. Drew is growing, smiling, cooing and starting to control his hands a little. I think he is pretty close to laughing also. The kids go to the doctor on Monday, I'm interested to see their stats.

Leah turns 3!

Good morning Leah! Happy birthday! You're 3 now.

No I'm not. I'm 2.

No, today is your birthday. You're 3.

No! I'm 2!

This past weekend Grandma Debbie made the trip in for Leah's birthday. We made little butterfly cakes and decorated them together. Leah thought that was pretty cool. This weekend we will have her party. I've been talking it up, trying to get her excited for it. When we went to buy decorations they didn't have a full set of anything so her party will be Star Wars with a touch of Disney princess and a hint of Toy Story - all of Leah's favorites right now. It should be a great time!

(I'll upload pictures later. I've tried 4 times now & it isn't working.)
